SOME THINGS TO DO WHILE ON HOLIDAY
Activities
- The Port Stephens Ferry can take you to Nelson Bay and back. This can be a day trip.
- Dolphin watching trips can be booked on Marine Drive.
- Scuba diving at popular dive spots. These include world-renowned Broughton Island, a major Grey Nurse Shark aggregation area.
- Tea Gardens only Hotel is in Marine Drive. It is a real local for families and visitors alike. A large outdoor area is next to the bistro. There is a pool room and in the summer a band usually plays each Friday and Saturday night.
- Hire a fishing boat for the day at the Boat Shed and Marina. Buy your fishing licence there as well as fishing gear. The Boat Shed also has a coffee shop with a food outlet.
Restaurants around Tea Gardens
- Tillermans – a restaurant with fabulous food and even better deserts. An unforgettable experience.
- Mumms – a restaurant serving fish and next to the Fish Co-Operative. Well spoken of.
- Hotel Bistro – (takeaway or eat in) provides good fare.
- Hamburger Shop next to Tea Gardens Real Estate – great simple food.
- The Chinese Restaurant – next door to Tillermans in Marine Drive.

Please bring all linen, including bed sheeting, tea towels and bath towels.
The only households provisions which are not supplied are soap, washing powder
and detergent.
There is a well stock and price competitive Bi-Lo store at Tea Gardens which
you pass coming into town.
ABOUT WANDA - THE COTTAGE
WANDA IS A
WELL EQUIPPED
COMFORTABLE

COTTAGE.
The kitchen has all mod cons. The living area has a comfortable two-seater lounge and two single chairs. There are overhead fans in the living area and bedrooms and timber flooring throughout the cottage. Wanda has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, side tables and reading lamps. The second bedroom has two comfortable single beds, side tales and reading lamps. Doonas, pillows and blankets are provided. There is a modern bathroom with shower, vanity and a toilet and a second toilet and outside shower. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer.
A CD, DVD and video player are provided. The outside patio area flows into a large fenced child and dog proof backyard with a lovely lawn area and native garden. An outdoor setting with glass top table, six cushioned chairs, umbrella and barbeque are provided. There is a driveway either side of the cottage with a covered carport area and lockup garage.
Location
Hawks Nest is only 21/4 hours from Sydney nestled on the shores of Port Stephens. It is the take off point to the Myall waterways, a chain of freshwater lagoons, lakes and rainforest.
Hawks Nest is bounded by ocean beach, a quiet water beach – Jimmy’s Beach – and National Park. The neighbouring town of Tea Gardens on the banks of the beautiful Myall River is a short walk over the Singing Bridge.
Wanda is within walking distance of the Myall River, boat launching ramps, the main surf beach, shops, medical centre, restaurants and golf club.
Climate
The climate is subtropical and temperatures range from 17°C to 34°C.

TARIFF
The tariff for your visit will depend on whether your visit will be in the low period, peak period, pr low or high shoulder. Should you wish to make a booking then half rental is due to be paid as a deposit, the balance payable at Tea Gardens when the keys are obtained. Details for collection of the keys are made at the time of booking. Keys are available from Tea Gardens Real Estate in Marine Drive, Tea Gardens.
